Exempt Overview:
Symbiotic Services is seeking a Director of Accounting to support the operations of a leading furniture manufacturing organization. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with executive leadership, this individual will play a pivotal role in financial strategy, planning, and analysis to drive operational and financial excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including forecasting, budgeting, board presentations, and performance metrics Provide detailed financial modeling and variance analysis related to budget and forecast Support pricing and costing functions, ensuring up-to-date and accurate financial data (BOMs) Perform capital investment analysis using tools like NPV and IRR Develop, track, and present KPIs to key stakeholders Create and manage complex financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives and operational strategies Utilize statistical and predictive modeling to identify business opportunities and drive profitability
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a finance leader with a strong track record in both strategic and operational roles Advanced quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail Expert in Excel modeling and dashboard creation Proficient with ERP systems and financial planning tools Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills Self-motivated, results-driven, and collaborative team player
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (Master's degree preferred) CPA Required or ability to obtain 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles Financial planning and operational improvement expertise Minimum of 5 years of experience in the furniture industry Proficient in MS Office, Oracle Suite, and business intelligence tools Experience with Power BI and Hyperion is a plus
