Salary Placement and Work Hours:
This is a 12-month, full-time position. Placement will be on the E2, G2 Salary Schedule with a range of $50,680 - $68,169, dependent on verifiable and applicable work experience and education. Placement is determined by the President and Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees Policy and salary schedule guidelines. The work week is Monday through Friday. Hours worked will be a minimum of 40 per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential Function:
The primary function of this position is to assist the Director of Financial Aid with the coordination and administration of Title IV financial aid funds, community education (CE), and agency scholarship programs by performing administrative support duties that facilitate the efficient management of these programs. The employee must comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with maintaining records and files for students with Standard of Academic Progress (SAP) and MAX appeals, including calculating current SAP and distributing files to the Appeals Committee Inform students of the guidelines governing applications for financial aid and assist the students in completing the necessary paperwork including the FAFSA application Utilize and maintain Dynamic Forms or other software to assist students with in-house paperwork required by NACC Assists with R2T4 and obtain students' last day of attendance per semester; calculate refunds/overpayments of the Title IV Funds; and distribute letters of refunds/overpayments to the students, business office, and the U.S. Department of Education Run R2T4 Argos report and complete calculations weekly and at the end of each term. Assist in the Management of the Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG), Alabama Student Assistance Program (ASAP) and ensure proper reconciliation with the Business Office Assist with student scholarships, including providing students with institutional scholarship information, assisting with record maintenance, and monitoring student scholarship agreement compliance Create SEOG, ASAP, Pell Grant, and Loan files, and prepare payment lists for the Business Office Disseminate financial aid information to students in person, by mail, electronically, and via telephone Operate the current data management system proficiently Crosstrain and assist in all functions of the Financial Aid Office Assist in the administration of the VA Educational Success Center by supporting the Northeast Student Veterans Association, coordinating veteran success initiatives, and processing VA educational benefits Assist with processing VA funds and maintaining records, files, and certification documentation for students receiving federal and state VA educational benefits, including GI Bill programs and related military education benefits. Assist with the institutional compliance and reporting requirements, including submissions to the State Approving Agency (SAA) and Military Friendly® designation applications. Review daily, weekly, and monthly financial aid reports as directed Complete FAFSA verifications and corrections Process student paperwork to determine financial aid eligibility Review daily system output reports and resolve outstanding processing issues, including missing transcripts Assist with the No Show Report and notify students who are reported as No Show Assist with Bump reports for students being added back to classes Assist in the completion of IPEDS, FISAP, PPA and all other federal and state reports Assist in ordering money and process payments for Title IV Programs Assist in certifying private loans and processing payments Assist in the management of the Federal Work-Study Program, including maintaining records, completing monthly reconciliations with the business office, interviewing students and determining placements based on qualifications Represent the college and its philosophy to prospective students and to others in the community Adhere to the college's standards of professionalism and confidentiality Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and northeast Alabama Community College. President Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient use of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing using such software as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access is required.
