Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT) � Adult Education, Westampton Campus Position Summary BCIT is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Financial Aid Specialist to support Adult Education students through the financial aid process. This role is responsible for providing accurate FAFSA guidance, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, and supporting student enrollment, retention, and completion by reducing financial barriers. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Qualifications College degree in a business-related field (preferred) Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a professional office environment (required); experience in an educational setting (preferred) Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) Experience with student database management systems and web-based data maintenance Ability to reconcile financial records and accounts Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment Effective communication skills when working with students, staff, faculty, administration, and community partners Knowledge of federal financial aid systems such as NSLDS, COD, and related platforms (preferred) Salary In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Law, the hourly rate for this position is: $23 � $31 per hour Additional Information Must pass criminal history background check Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required Must meet New Jersey residency requirements
