- Full-time Mildred Elley, a private, multi campus institution of higher learning, is seeking a Financial Aid Representative for appointment at its campus located in New York City The faculty and staff of Mildred Elley have demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, focusing on academic improvements, student service improvements, and accreditation and compliance improvements.
Responsibilities:
Assist new and continuing students through the processing of their financial aid applications and/or payment plan applications. Construct new enrollment award packages and estimate eligibility for length of program. Provide guidance to students and parents during the enrollment process and direct use of electronic media. Process private financing applications, student tuition payments, and other external funding Collect all appropriate application materials and supporting documentation to secure awarded aid funds. Enter applications and award changes and upload scanned materials into the administrative software. Process and monitor student payments including Pell, Loans, Agency, in-house, TAP and TFC payments. Assist with Pell and Direct Loan administration including, but not limited to, updating, increasing, reducing, rescheduling, or cancelling expected Pell or FDLP disbursements Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required. Bachelor's preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of Financial Aid office experience required. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be proficient in keyboarding, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook. Must have database experience. Must have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in person and on the telephone.Pay:
$43,000.00- $46,000.
