The Financial Aid Counselor provides expert guidance and counseling regarding financial aid processes, requirements, and maintenance of eligibility to prospective and current students, ensuring students are properly funded, packaged, and prepared to start each semester. This position interprets and packages financial aid in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations. The Financial Aid Counselor responds to and reviews student requests for modification of their financial aid packages and eligibility evaluation utilizing professional judgment, while ensuring continued compliance with policies and regulations. There will be some mandatory weekend and evening obligations as needed. This position is designated as sensitive. A fingerprint-based criminal history check will be required of the final candidate. This position is considered essential personnel and subject to working during university closings.
