We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Coordinator to join our orthodontic practice! This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly experience, supportive team in a well-established, high-volume practice known for providing excellent patient care. Wood Orthodontics Schedule:
We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates. This position requires a minimum of three days per week, with a rotating schedule (days will vary week to week). Schedules are provided 4-6 months in advance. No weekend hours are required. Why Join Us? Discuss financial options with patients, including orthodontic treatment costs, payment plans, insurance coverage, and financing solutionsInsurance Verification & Claims:
Verify dental insurance benefits, accurately submit insurance claims, track claim status, and follow up on outstanding or denied claimsPatient Billing & Collections:
Manage patient billing processes, apply payments, monitor account balances, and communicate with patients to resolve billing concerns and collect outstanding balancesCustomer Service:
Provide clear, compassionate financial guidance to patients and families, helping them understand their treatment costs and financial responsibilitiesDocumentation & Record Keeping:
Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records, agreements, and insurance documentation within the practice management software Assist with scheduling financial consultations and preparing treatment cost breakdowns for upcoming appointments Communicate and collaborate with the clinical and front office teams to support smooth patient experiences and financial coordination Support front desk operations when needed, including answering phones, assisting with check-in/check-out, and appointment reminders Help identify and implement improvements to financial workflows, billing systems, and patient communication Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuing education to stay informed of billing regulations and insurance trends Performs other job-related duties as assigned, including contributing to evolving team and business needs in support of organizational goalsRequirements:
Previous experience in dental or healthcare financial coordination, billing, or insurance (2+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, ADA codes, and claims submission processes Proficiency with dental practice management software Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and empathetically Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment Understanding of HIPAA regulations, ethical billing practices, and patient confidentiality standardsComprehensive Benefits Package:
