Senior Financial Analyst (Automotive Manufacturing & Logistics)

Compensation:
$90,000 - $105,000/year (Dependent on experience) Position Overview Are you a finance professional who loves the dynamics of a physical supply chain? Do you understand how production lines, inventory turns, and freight costs directly impact the bottom line? A rapidly growing, Tier-1 organization in the automotive parts and manufacturing industry is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Costa Mesa. This isn't just a corporate spreadsheet role—you will act as the financial bridge between our operations, supply chain, and executive leadership teams. What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities) Drive the
Financial Roadmap:
Own the coordination of annual budgeting, rolling quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial modeling across multiple operational entities.
Operational Variance & OPEX Control:
Act as the strategic watchdog for plant and distribution performance. Conduct detailed variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget), identifying the root causes of cost fluctuations in material, labor, and overhead. Build the
Visuals:
Design, maintain, and automate executive-level dashboards, KPIs, and PowerPoint presentations that give leadership clear visibility into business performance.
Advanced Scenario Modeling:
Create complex, scalable financial models for sensitivity analysis, capacity planning, and capital expenditures (CapEx) to support major business decisions.
Bridge Finance & Accounting:
Partner closely with the accounting and corporate treasury teams to ensure month-end accuracy, reconcile key operational ledgers, and optimize cash flow visibility. What You Bring to the
Team The Industry Foundation:
3 to 5+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with a distinct preference for candidates coming out of manufacturing, automotive, distribution, or heavy logistics.
The Technical Toolbox:
Advanced, bulletproof Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, Macro exposure) and experience navigating ERP systems. PowerBI, Tableau, or similar dashboarding experience is a massive plus.
The Analytical Mindset:
Strong understanding of standard costing, product margins, inventory dynamics, and how operational shifts flow through the P&L and Balance Sheet.
The Communication Pivot:
The ability to confidently present data to senior stakeholders and translate numbers into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
