What you'll do Are you a diligent financial professional with a passion for making an impact? Viasat's Engineering Finance Group is seeking a bright and motivated Financial Analyst to join our team! In this role, you'll play a pivotal role supporting our Engineering Finance team and business leaders, empowering them with the financial insights they need to drive strategic decision-making. You'll leverage your financial expertise to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and ensure alignment between actual results and our project, engineering, and strategic plans. The day-to-day Act as a finance business partner to the Engineering teams by preparing monthly rolling forecasts and ad hoc financial analysis. Support and assist in the preparation of engineering financial budgets and operating plans. Create and lead financial forecasts, including P&L and Balance Sheet elements. Development and production of both the monthly reporting packs To systematically and objectively review the performance of the business both actual and forecast, working with the director Finance to ensure that all material issues, risks and opportunities are promptly identified and addressed Support finance integration and transformation activities What you'll need 1-3 years "hands-on" Financial Planning and Analysis experience. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related area. Financial modeling capabilities. Bold self-starter with a strong ability to deal with ambiguity. Communication, time management, and team-building skills: position will interact with team members across the business area and corporate functions at all levels. Ability to draw high quality analysis out of the results that drive decisions. What will help you on the job CPA License Preferred Systems experience with proficiency with ERP systems, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Solid understanding of GAAP accounting. Prior experience with financial modeling. Strong people skills, confident and comfortable at engaging collaboratively in an intellectual and multinational environment at all levels. Strong verbal and written communications skills. Analytical skills coupled with good strategic business understanding leading to key business insight. Experience with Power BI Salary range $63,000.00 - $99,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $78,500.00- $117,500.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
