Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in management, reporting and analysis on product costing and other cost of goods sold working knowledge of AI tools, SAP, tableau. Experience working in a corporate FP&A at a fast paced/high growth technology company in hardware finance or operations space. Experience with regularly presenting to executive management organized, strategically focused, detail oriented and exceptional communication skills. Strong track record of partnership and collaboration across stakeholders. Impeccable business judgment, strong conviction and confidence to communicate and influence effectively with business partners. Ability to deal with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on one of Google's most exciting product areas Platforms and Devices. This area includes Pixel phones, Pixel Buds, Pixel Watch, Fitbit, Nest Cameras and many more. Your responsibilities will include designing/improving critical financial infrastructure to support the business, track performance and optimize cost structures. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Own budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting, and monthly close activities for device and hardware product COGS. Build complex models and provide analytical support on business cases, feature tradeoffs, and infrastructure optimization to drive portfolio efficiencies. Partner across Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, and finance teams to establish cost targets and monitor COGS performance trends. Participate in management discussions to influence decision-making through analytical insight into profit and loss outcomes, profitability, and resource allocation. Partner with functional teams to identify industry and business trends that could pose financial risks to the company. Improve existing and implement initiatives, processes, and policies to increase efficiency and enable scalable growth. Manage operational cadence for the hardware portfolio, including long-range plan and annual operating plan cycles. Drive AI integration within workflows to reduce manual effort, improve forecasting accuracy, and automate plan inputs.
