Duties:
The Financial Reporting and Budgeting Analyst at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, will be responsible for documentation of internal control processes and preparation of tax compliance reporting. Assist in the financial reporting process for the preparation of required quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and earning releases. Prepare monthly P&L expense reports to submit to management. Support monthly close by preparing share-based compensation expense analyses and share-based compensation reports and reconciliations. Provide quarterly and ad-hoc reports for tax and external financial reporting as it relates to equity-based reporting. Prepare and maintain procedural documents for all equity reporting, including SOX controls and audit documentation. Assist with internal and external auditors as well as the finance team on quarterly reviews and year-end audits as needed. Work closely with the System Controls group, HR, accounting, Tax, and other teams, as necessary. Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, five-year forecast and monthly variance reports. Assist with the implementation of the new ERP system specifically as it relates to data migration, ensuring all data from the legacy system is compiled, analyzed, and prepared for transfer in to the new system.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field plus 2 years of professional experience as a Financial Reporting and Budgeting Analyst, Financial Reporting Associate or related occupation. Experience must include 2 years of experience with data analytics tools, US GAAP accounting standards and share-based compensation. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: 1) Financial Reporting including preparation of SEC filings and reconciliation; 2) Accounting for equity-based compensation; 3) GAAP and IFRS Compliance including standards and reporting practices; 4) Creating financial forecasts and budgets; 5) Tax and equity-based financial reporting; 6) Conducting quantitative variance analysis to support informed financial decision-making; 7) Data Analytics Tools including advanced Excel skills for financial reporting and analysis, SAS, SQL, and Excel VBA; 8) SOX Compliance including controls and documentation. The Data Analyst at Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, Inc in Rancho Cucamonga, CA will analyze clinical trial experiment data and targeted results by applying statistical theory to determine data analysis methodologies, develop statistical sections of protocols, and strategize statistical analysis plans (SAP). Compile preliminary clinical trial raw data and utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) program to implement SAP, analyze and interpret data.
