This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial banking relationships while partnering closely with experienced lenders and credit professionals. The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating credit opportunities, analyzing borrower financial performance, identifying risk factors, and supporting sound lending decisions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of commercial credit, and a desire to continue developing within a relationship-focused commercial banking environment.
Responsibilities:
Analyze commercial loan requests and prepare written credit presentations Spread and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow information Evaluate borrower repayment capacity, collateral, and overall credit risk Assist with annual reviews, renewals, modifications, and portfolio monitoring Work closely with Relationship Managers and Credit Officers to support lending decisions Monitor covenant compliance and portfolio performance Ensure credit files and underwriting documentation meet regulatory and internal requirements Participate in ongoing portfolio management and risk assessment activities
Qualifications:
Commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience within a bank or credit union Strong financial statement and cash flow analysis skills Knowledge of commercial real estate and commercial & industrial lending Ability to prepare clear and concise written credit presentations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field preferred This opportunity is ideal for Credit Analysts, Senior Credit Analysts, Underwriters, or emerging Portfolio Managers seeking exposure to a broad range of commercial lending relationships within a collaborative banking environment.
