Job Description

Position Summary Under the direction of the Finance Planning & Analysis Manager, the Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, initiative, and a solid background in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a deadline-driven environment and communicates effectively across all levels of the organization. Key Responsibilities Conduct annual capital and operational budgeting functions Ensure integrity and accuracy of budget information Perform monthly variance (flux) analysis between actual results, budgets, and prior year performance Analyze and report trends related to Return on Equity (ROE) and Rate of Return Update and maintain financial forecasting models Support management with acquisition analysis and new business opportunities Prepare, maintain, analyze, and distribute financial and key metrics reports Assist with data compilation for rate case filings and quarterly audit requests Collaborate with internal departments and cross-functional teams Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Minimum 4 years of experience in Accounting or Finance Strong ability to analyze financial reports and communicate findings Advanced computer and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Experience with JD Edwards Insights Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Desired Skills & Attributes High level of accountability and ownership Strong integrity and professionalism Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills Team-oriented and collaborative mindset Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Flexible, proactive, and results-driven Maintains confidentiality with sensitive information Strong initiative and ability to improve processes through technology and efficiency Pay $80,000 to $110,000 KPG123
