Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team in Torrance, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, strategic planning, and analyzing data to drive informed decision-making within the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel expertise, and a solid background in financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive board reports and conduct detailed financial analysis.
- Collaborate with management to assist in creating monthly reports, product pricing, and business plan projections.
- Develop long-term financial projections using business models informed by market conditions.
- Analyze asset liability risks, including liquidity and other financial metrics.
- Support the accounting team with reconciliation tasks and HR benefits billing.
- Assist in audit schedules and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance strategic planning and investment activities.
- Cross-train with the analyst team to ensure seamless execution of critical responsibilities.
- Contribute to month-end close processes and related financial activities. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data.
- Solid understanding of asset liability management and financial risk analysis.
- Experience with month-end close processes and audit preparation.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements within the financial services sector.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to develop and present financial models to support strategic and operational goals.
