Job Description

Job DescriptionJob Description Robert Half Management Resources is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to support our manufacturing client in Torrance, California. This role will play a key part in data compilation, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. The ideal candidate will be adept at working with large data sets, developing executive-level reporting, and collaborating cross-functionally with finance and operational stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Partner with finance team to build, refine, and track budgets and forecast assumptions across the business.
  • Develop financial reports and variance analyses that highlight performance drivers, risks, and opportunities for management review.
  • Gather and combine data from SAP BPC and other financial sources to support planning activities and reporting accuracy.
  • Create clear reports, dashboards, and presentation materials in Excel and PowerPoint for leadership discussions.
  • Translate financial results into clear business insights and recommend practical actions based on trends and findings.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly close-related analysis to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting needs and contribute analytical support for special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP principles; experience with IFRS preferred.
  • Strong background in variance analysis, and ad hoc analytical work within a corporate environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions, and scenario analysis.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to produce clear, detailed presentations for leadership audiences.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP BPC for planning, consolidation, or financial reporting activities or Power BI a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in an onsite, collaborative, and fast-paced setting.
