Senior Financial Analyst - Denver, CO You will not only crunch numbers—you will help communities thrive. As a Senior Financial Analyst at AE2S, you'll work alongside engineers, project managers, and community leaders to bring critical infrastructure projects to completion and plan for the future. From rate design and revenue forecasting to capital improvement planning and funding strategy, your work will directly support the financial health and sustainability of critical infrastructure systems. You'll collaborate with communities on municipal budget planning to funding development and reserve analysis—then translate your findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Responsibilities Communicate and build strong relationships with communities in support of project development and delivery Further company business development and marketing activities in the region Oversee local project management and delivery Draft and deliver technical reports, proposals, and presentations Collect and perform quantitative data analysis of municipal financial information Develop and prepare MS Excel based computer models in support of project analyses
Job Requirements:
Basic Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a governmental emphasis, Engineering Degree with a financial emphasis, or 2-year degree in above fields with equivalent work experience Must be willing to travel as required Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field Strong communication skills and a knack for building trust with communities, partners, and stakeholders Experience creating and working in complex Excel spreadsheets and large data sets Proven problem-solving skills based on quantitative data analysis Ability to work independently on specific assignments Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple initiatives Willing to travel as required All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree (engineering, finance, public affairs, or other related field) Experience working in a consulting or public government environment History working with team members across broad geographies Experience with infrastructure funding programs (grants, loans, etc.) Familiarity with Vantage Point or similar project management tools preferred MSRB Series 50 and 54 qualifications Physical Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
