Job Description

A growing multi-state healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial initiatives supporting CMS-regulated healthcare programs. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role will serve as a key financial partner responsible for ensuring financial integrity, supporting organizational growth, and driving financial performance across complex healthcare operations. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with deep healthcare finance knowledge and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights. What You'll Do Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Oversee internal controls, audit preparation, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements. Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning. Analyze financial performance, reimbursement trends, and operational metrics to support strategic decision-making. Support financial activities related to Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and other government-sponsored healthcare programs. Assist with financial modeling, reimbursement analysis, and Medicare Part D bid support activities. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies. Collaborate cross-functionally with operational, clinical, and executive leaders to support organizational objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA required. 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. 5+ years of healthcare finance, healthcare accounting, or healthcare reimbursement experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Experience supporting Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, or other CMS-regulated healthcare programs. Experience leading audits and managing external auditor relationships. Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills. Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to executive leadership. Preferred Qualifications Experience within PACE, Medicare Advantage, managed care, value-based care, or other risk-based healthcare environments. Experience supporting Medicare Part D bid development, pharmacy financial modeling, or healthcare actuarial processes. Experience with capitated reimbursement methodologies and healthcare utilization analysis. Experience in a multi-entity or multi-state healthcare organization. Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Pay:
$140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
