Investment Analyst Company Summary:
A Washington DC-based private investment firm is seeking an Investment Analyst to join its dynamic team. The firm specializes in lower-middle market secondary and co-investments across a diverse range of industries. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a lean, highly acquisitive team, offering early and significant responsibility, hands-on deal experience, and exposure to all aspects of the investment process. The Investment Analyst will be responsible for: Execution of broader market and industry research Financial modeling, valuation analysis, and returns analysis for various investment targets Take point on due diligence processes Monitor existing investment portfolio Analyze fund performance, portfolio construction, and underlying company metrics Support fundraising activities and broader firm initiatives The Investment Analyst should have the following qualifications: 1-3 years of experience evaluating venture capital and/or growth equity funds 1-2 years of Investment Banking or Wealth Management experience Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field Strong interest in venture sectors such as software, fintech, healthcare, frontier technologies, blockchain, and AI Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts into clear investment insights Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and sound investment judgment Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Familiarity with AI tools used in research and analysis (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) Experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools is a plus For Associate-level candidates: proven ability to lead investment processes with limited supervision and strong relationship-building skills If you are interested in the Investment Analyst role, then please don't wait to apply.
