Student Financial Aid Budget Analyst University of North Florida - 4.2 Jacksonville, FL Job Details Full-time $50,000 a year 9 hours ago Qualifications Research Full Job Description Department Financial Aid Compensation $50,000.00 Annual General Description / Primary Purpose The Student Financial Aid Budget Analyst supports the Office of Student Financial Aid through budget analysis, financial reporting, reconciliation, and operational financial oversight. This position assists with monitoring financial resources, analyzing expenditures, developing budget projections, and supporting compliance with university, state, and federal financial policies and procedures. Job Functions Analyze and monitor departmental budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved funding and operational priorities. Prepare financial reports, budget projections, and reconciliation analyses to support leadership decision-making and fiscal planning. Assist with aligning financial aid resources with enrollment, retention, and awarding optimization strategies. Review financial transactions and budget requests for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with university policies and applicable regulations. Conduct financial and cost analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational efficiency. Support reconciliation of financial aid accounts and funding sources, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements. Coordinate budget transfers, adjustments, and related financial transactions in university financial systems. Develop and maintain budget tracking tools and reports to support departmental fiscal management and monitoring. Collaborate with Finance, Budget, Foundation, and other university departments to gather financial information and resolve budget-related issues. Assist with audit preparation and documentation, including supporting internal and external reviews of financial records and processes. Research funding sources, financial guidelines, and budgetary requirements to support departmental planning and resource management. Prepare presentations, summaries, and reports for departmental leadership regarding budget status, projections, and financial analysis. Support process improvement initiatives related to budgeting, reporting, and financial operations. Supervisory Responsibilities Reports to the Manager, Budget and Analysis. May provide functional guidance or training related to budget processes and reporting. Marginal Functions Assist with special projects and financial analyses as assigned. Participate in departmental and university committees or initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
