Job Description

Job Title:
Trade Analyst Job Description The Trade Analyst captures and reconciles trades, produces accurate daily P&L and risk reports, and supports the integrity of trading data across systems. This role combines hands-on financial reporting with data analysis, working closely with operations, risk, and IT teams to enhance processes, support special projects, and improve the trade capture and reporting platform. Responsibilities Capture trades accurately in the SOX application and ensure timely entry of all transactions. Perform end-of-day reconciliations and reporting to validate trade data and resolve discrepancies. Verify trading positions and monitor daily Value at Risk (VaR) and other risk-related metrics to support risk management activities. Reconcile broker statements and external transaction records with internal systems to maintain data integrity. Prepare and deliver daily Profit & Loss (P&L) and pricing reports to management with a high degree of accuracy and clarity. Process Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) and other clearing and settlement transactions in a timely and compliant manner. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support small- to mid-sized special projects and business initiatives. Assist in designing and enhancing processes to drive continuous improvement in trade capture, reconciliation, and reporting workflows. Support the development and execution of the trade capture platform in close collaboration with the IT team. Develop ad hoc reports using SQL and Power BI to meet business and management reporting needs. Create Excel-based ad hoc reports and automate recurring reporting tasks using macros where appropriate. Analyze and reconcile financial and trading data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for optimization. Communicate findings and insights clearly to stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related trade analysis, financial reporting, or data analysis role. Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret, reconcile, and validate large data sets. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and macros for reporting and automation. Proficiency in Power BI for building and maintaining dashboards and analytical reports. Proficiency in SQL for querying, extracting, and manipulating data from relational databases. Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, and report development. Solid understanding of finance, profit and loss (P&L), accounting principles, and financial reporting. Familiarity with SOX-related processes and controls in a trading or financial environment. Knowledge of trading concepts, trade capture, and related financial instruments. Experience working with Value at Risk (VaR) and other risk-related metrics. Ability to process and reconcile Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) and settlement transactions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT and operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field. Experience creating and maintaining automated reporting solutions using Excel macros. Experience in both quantitative and qualitative analysis to support special projects. Demonstrated ability to design, refine, and improve business processes. Comfort working with trading data, broker statements, and external transaction records. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily and periodic reporting deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data issues. Work Environment This is a full-time onsite role, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours required during peak periods. The position operates in a professional office environment that is highly data-driven and collaborative, working closely with trading, risk, finance, and IT teams. You will work extensively with tools such as the SOX application, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL-based databases, and Python to support trade capture, reconciliation, and reporting activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
