MANAGEMENT ANALYST

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Professional/support position involving research, report generation, analyses, surveys and other technical work. Highly responsible administrative and research work, working directly under the supervision of the Senior Management Analyst. Liaison between departments.
Essential Job Functions:

ILLUSTRATIVE
ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.) Assist Senior Management Analyst with grant reporting task work, maintaining records, compiling invoices and completing periodic grant reports. Complete periodic management reports, including the Department's monthly report, utilizing spreadsheets and providing analysis, as required. Support of annual budget development, to include capital and operating budgets. Tracks City investments and coupon payments. Perform legislative and operational research and survey tasks, as needed. Prepare tables/data for financial statements, budget and other financial documents. Assists with routine accounting activities. Perform special projects as assigned. Support development of Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. Assist with miscellaneous Departmental support and Finance related tasks as requested. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to prepare technical, detail oriented written specifications and documents. Ability to express factual information clearly and concisely, orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agencies, associates and departmental staff. Ability to operate a PC in a network environment. Knowledge of municipal government organization and services provided. Skill in using Microsoft office suite of products. Skill in using Internet. Education and Experience Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree. Finance/Accounting background preferred. (A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
Licenses, Certifications or Registrations:
Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction) Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid) Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Ability to access, input and retrieve information from a network PC. Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time.
