Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Fiscal Coordinator to support and oversee the financial operations of our agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, grant compliance, and financial reporting, with the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining compliance with federal and state funding requirements, and supporting overall fiscal operations across agency programs. Responsibilities Perform daily accounting functions (accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, financial recordkeeping) Assist with payroll processing and review timesheets for accuracy Complete monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Track expenditures and monitor budgets across multiple funding sources Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Maintain documentation for audits, monitoring reviews, and compliance requirements Support cost allocation planning (CAP) and budget development Collaborate with program staff to ensure proper financial tracking and policy adherence Respond to financial inquiries from staff, vendors, and stakeholders Qualifications Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) Experience with nonprofit or grant-funded programs preferred Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
