Job Description

Robert Half is partnering on a Sr. Financial Analyst opportunity near Clear Lakes, Iowa. This role supports informed business decisions by turning complex financial information into clear reporting, meaningful insights, and forward-looking plans. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, collaborates effectively across departments, and helps maintain high standards for financial accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
  • Review trial balances and financial statements to confirm accuracy, proper account treatment, and completeness of reported results.
  • Create and deliver recurring and ad hoc financial reports, executive summaries, and dashboards that highlight performance trends and key business insights.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and build long-range forecasts that support operational goals and strategic planning.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to collect, validate, and interpret financial data for reporting and analysis needs.
  • Provide guidance to business teams on financial results and reporting concepts to improve understanding and consistency across the organization.
  • Prepare and record journal entries in a timely manner while maintaining organized support for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Perform variance analysis to explain differences between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Support special initiatives that strengthen financial reporting, analytical capabilities, and overall decision support processes.
