A growing financial services organization is seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to support account administration, transaction processing, and advisor service functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring account requests are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations. What You'll Do:
Account & Transaction Processing Review and process account-related requests, including new account setups, transfers, maintenance changes, and cash movement transactions. Verify documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and regulatory requirements. Investigate and resolve processing exceptions, missing information, and account discrepancies. Maintain detailed records and ensure data integrity across multiple systems. Meet established turnaround times while managing competing priorities. Advisor & Client Support Serve as a resource for financial professionals and internal business partners regarding account status, processing requirements, and operational procedures. Communicate updates on pending requests and assist in resolving service-related issues. Coordinate with custodians, vendors, and third-party partners to facilitate account activity. Build positive working relationships through responsive and professional communication. Operational Excellence Monitor transactions for potential risk or compliance concerns and escalate issues when necessary. Assist with process improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality. Participate in cross-functional training and provide support across multiple operational areas. Stay current on industry regulations, policies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a high-volume environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Experience in financial services, banking, wealth management, brokerage operations, or professional services. FINRA SIE, Series 7, or interest in obtaining industry licenses. Exposure to account administration, client service, operations support, or transaction processing. Experience working with financial advisors, investment professionals, or client-facing service teams.
