Finance Intern

Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Intern to join our team at Urban Farmer. This internship is to start ASAP and will run through mid-August. In this role, you will assist with data interpretation, financial analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making. You will gain hands-on experience in financial management and analysis, while helping maintain data accuracy and integrity to drive business growth.

Assist with analyzing financial data using statistical techniques and financial models to support business decisions. •

Help develop and maintain financial databases, ensuring data is collected and stored for easy access and analysis. •

Report Generation:

Assist in generating regular financial reports, including budget tracking, financial forecasting, and performance monitoring. •

Process Improvement:

Assist in identifying areas for process improvements and propose data-driven solutions to enhance financial efficiency. •

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with finance, product, and marketing teams to provide financial insights and support business needs. •

Budgeting and Forecasting:

Help with budget tracking and forecasting by analyzing spending patterns and financial performance. •

Data Integrity and Security:

Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of financial data by following established protocols and security measures. •

Presentation of Findings:

Assist in preparing financial presentations and reports for stakeholders, providing clear and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. •

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling tools. •

Work Environment:

This position works in an office and a manufacturing environment with variable temperature and loud noises from machinery and equipment alarms. The incumbent will be exposed to loud noises and alarms from equipment and machinery.

Physical Demands Prolonged Sitting:

Will spend a significant portion of the workday sitting at a desk, analyzing data, and working on a computer.

Repetitive Motion:

The role involves repetitive motions such as typing on a keyboard and using a computer mouse, which may require taking breaks for stretches.
