Job Description:
Senior Commercial Credit Analyst Community First Bank of Indiana - Fishers, IN (Onsite) This is a senior, hands-on credit role supporting a growing commercial lending team. You'll be underwriting a mix of commercial (C&I) and real estate deals, working closely with lenders, and handling a steady pipeline of transactions. The expectation is that you can step in and contribute with minimal training. What you'll actually be doing Underwriting C&I + investor real estate deals Analyzing business and personal tax returns Preparing written credit summary reports for new and existing business clients and preparing risk ratings for the relationships reviewed. Will be working on all types of relationships, including the larger, more complex deals using required experience. They types of loans analyzed will include both C&I (Commercial & Industrial) as well as Investor Real Estate Loans (apartments, retail centers, self-storage, etc.). Determining credit worthiness of commercial applicants by making recommendations to Credit Manager and Loan Officers / Loan Committees. Managing multiple deals at the same time (this is a production-driven environment) Preparing board reports (monthly/quarterly), charge-off / nonaccrual reporting, special asset / large loan reporting Reviewing market real estate data (vacancy, competition, etc.) Assists in training needs for others within the department, including interns, shadowing opportunities and more junior analysts. May advance to some team-lead type responsibilities and could be asked to review others work and provide their opinion on written work. Provides assistance with managing the credit department pipeline and intake for new deals and renewals to ensure complete packages are ready to be worked.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years of experience of commercial credit underwriting Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or a related business field Willing and able to work on-site full-time in Fishers, Indiana Experience with C&I lending & Investor Real Estate Tax-return-driven underwriting (small / middle-market) experience Someone who can work independently without heavy oversight and willing to mentor others Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information Able to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems.
