Finance Analyst II - Data Analytics Kansas City National Security Campus - 3.3 Overland Park, KS Job Details 21 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Data-driven problem-solving Risk assessment Stakeholder relationship building Full Job Description Summary The Finance Analyst II performs a variety of complex accounting and/or budget functions. Duties and Responsibilities Performs financial/accounting compliance services primarily supporting the Finance Government Compliance department. Processes complex financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis to drive business performance and monitor adherence to internal controls. Develops and compiles data for periodic accounting and/or budget reports for distribution and determination of cost variances, policy adherence / internal control assessments and for risk assessments. Develops and analyzes data to identify recurring problems. Develops, analyzes and interprets accounting and/or budget data and presents conclusions to management. Assists in the development of detailed procedures and work instructions in the accounting and/or budget area. Effectively interfaces and builds strong relationships with internal and external customers. Assists in training of personnel in various accounting and/or budget activities. You Must Have Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of Finance, Business, or related experience; OR in lieu of a degree a minimum of four (4) years Finance, Business or related experience. Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. United States Citizenship Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations) We Value Experience with programming (i.e. SQL, JavaScript) Basic understanding of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting and related internal controls Rapidly developing sound understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PeopleSoft, SAP, data analytics software such as SPLUNK and/or SAP applications and Artificial Intelligence tools. Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights. Ability to effectively interface and build strong relationships with internal and external customers. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and self-motivated to work independently.
