Job Description
Description We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support business performance through insightful reporting, forecasting, and data-driven recommendations in Beverly, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial results, identify trends, and guide decision-making with clear analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, comfort working with large data sets, and the ability to translate numbers into meaningful business insights.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial results and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that impact business performance.
- Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
- Prepare variance analyses that compare actual results against forecasts, budgets, and prior periods, highlighting key drivers.
- Conduct ad hoc financial studies and reporting requests to support leadership decisions and evolving business needs.
- Extract, organize, and interpret large data sets using data mining techniques to improve reporting accuracy and insight generation.
- Partner with stakeholders across departments to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and present clear financial findings.
- Develop recurring reports and dashboards that help monitor performance indicators and support ongoing planning efforts. Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis within a corporate, business, or consulting environment.
- Strong capability in financial modeling, including scenario analysis and forecasting methodologies.
- Proven ability to perform ad hoc analysis and deliver clear recommendations under changing priorities.
- Experience conducting variance analysis and explaining performance drivers to business partners or leadership.
- Proficiency in working with large data sets and applying data mining techniques to uncover actionable insights.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
