This position is responsible for accounts payable processing, financial analysis, and comprehensive grant administration, including budgeting, compliance, reporting, and audit support. Working closely with program staff, leadership, and external funders, the Finance & Grant Analyst ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and effective stewardship of public funding sources in a nonprofit behavioral health environment. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounts Payable Process, review, and reconcile vendor invoices related to program operations, housing services, Rep Payee, and administrative functions in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure all expenses are accurately allocated to the appropriate programs, funding sources, and departments. Manage fu11-cycleaccounts payable, including invoice entry, coding, approvals, and payment processing (checks, ACH, and wires). Maintain and update vendor records in compliance with organizational policies. Monitor accounts payable aging and resolve discrepancies with vendors/ internal staff. Track and optimize vendor discount opportunities where applicable and leverage financial systems to automate and streamline workflows Maintain organized financial records to support audits and funding reviews. Assist with bank reconciliations, general ledger entries, and month-end close processes. Support month-end and year-end close processes and annual audit Perform general accounting and administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and documentation management. Grant Management & Compliance Provide financial oversight of all grants, ensuring compliance with federal, and states funding requirements. Prepare and submit grant billings, reimbursement requests, and financial reports in accordance with funder requirements. Monitor grant budgets to ensure expenditures align with approved budgets and program deliverables. Analyze spending trends and collaborate with Program Managers to ensure effective utilization of funds. Prepare budget modifications, projections, and financial justifications for grant adjustments. Maintain detailed grant files, including contracts, amendments, and supporting documentation for audits. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including federal Uniform Guidance and state funding requirements. Serve as a liaison between the organization and funding agencies, responding to fiscal inquiries and requests. Collaboration & Reporting Partner with Program Managers and administrative staff to ensure financial accuracy and compliance across programs. Assist in developing grant proposals, including budget preparation and financial narratives. Prepare internal financial reports and analysis for leadership decision-making. Support organizational audits, including annual financial audits and grant-specific audits. Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in accounting, finance, and grant management. Experience working with nonprofit organizations and grant funding strongly preferred. Experience managing government-funded programs (e.g., Medicaid, state, or local grants) highly desirable. Knowledge & Skills Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with grant compliance, budgeting, and reporting requirements. Knowledge of accounting systems (e.g., Sage or similar ERP systems). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Experience with budgeting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of organization, attention to detail, and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality. Salary & Benefits Salary Range:
$75,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education. Hybrid 3 days in office/2 remote
