Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and validating financial and project data from multiple systems and sources.
- Support budget tracking and monitoring efforts across various projects and funding types.
- Contribute to financial analysis activities by comparing planned budgets against actual expenditures and identifying variances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes under the guidance of senior team members.
- Provide day-to-day financial and administrative support to Project and Program Managers.
- Help coordinate communication between project teams, corporate finance, and contracts departments.
- Support subcontractor financial tracking activities, including:
- Assisting with purchase requisition entry in Costpoint.
- Reviewing invoices and purchase orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Tracking funding levels and supporting invoice processing.
- Assist with procurement coordination, including tracking orders and deliveries for contract materials.
- Review employee travel and expense reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Support maintenance of SharePoint sites, including document organization, updates, and basic reporting.
- Ensure adnce to internal processes and quality standards, including CMMI and ISO guidelines. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
- Candidate requires (2) two years of related experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within program financial management and operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or academic project experience related to finance, accounting, or project management.
- Familiarity with government contracting environments or financial systems (e.g., Costpoint) is a plus.
- Exposure to data analysis or reporting tools.
