Finance and Accounting Job Summary:
Avfuel Corporation, a global aviation fuel and services provider operating in over 140 countries, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our continued growth. This onsite role blends data analytics with core finance/accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and brings strong financial modeling and analytical skills to support strategic decision-making. This role will primarily support the accounting and finance division but may also work on projects across the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Analyze large data sets to identify trends and drive financial performance Drive financial results through data analysis Build and maintain detailed financial models and reports Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data Deliver regular (weekly, monthly, annual) financial reports and dashboards Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies with the direction of the Director of Financial Operations Provide ad-hoc reports to support cross-functional projects as assigned by manager Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Required Skills/Abilities:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Excel and Access Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines Ability to consider multiple data sources and draw relevant conclusions Ability to notice inconsistencies and errors in data and work product Extract, clean and prepare large datasets through effective data mining & scrubbing techniques Roll-up sleeves, can do mentality Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and conditions Comfortable working independently with limited supervision Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Education and Experience:
Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business Related fields. 3-5 years' experience as financial analyst Experience working in an environment with large data sets.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. EEO/ADA Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
