If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are working with companies in Grand Rapids that are adding Financial Analysts to their teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for manufacturing operations. Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making and performance tracking. Analyze production costs, inventory valuations, and capital expenditures to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction. Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key trends and insights. Support the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting for manufacturing plants. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, supply chain) to gather data and provide financial guidance. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to evaluate new projects, investments, and operational initiatives. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g., standard costing, bill of materials). Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Bonus Qualifications Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle for data extraction and analysis. Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting financial insights. Understanding of supply chain management and its financial implications.
