Accounting Manager Position Summary The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the accounting and financial operations of a multi-division Automotive Tier 1 supplier. This position is responsible for key balance sheet accounts, intercompany activity, and program-specific accounting, while also contributing to the month-end close and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in a manufacturing environment with exposure to complex intercompany structures and OEM-specific programs. Key Responsibilities Cash & Balance Sheet Management Manage and reconcile cash accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of discrepancies Monitor daily cash activity and support cash forecasting processes Maintain and reconcile prepaid expense accounts, ensuring proper amortization and compliance with accounting policies Intercompany (I/C) Accounting Record and manage intercompany charges, including payroll allocations, management fees, expense reports, ADP-related costs, and legal fees Perform detailed intercompany reconciliations for assigned plants/entities, ensuring balances are accurate and differences are resolved in a timely manner Collaborate with internal stakeholders across divisions to ensure proper coding, allocation, and documentation of I/C transactions Support intercompany eliminations and reporting during month-end and quarter-end close Journal Entries & Close Support Prepare, review, and approve journal entries as needed, ensuring proper support and adherence to GAAP and internal controls Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with a focus on assigned accounts and areas of responsibility Assist with account reconciliations and provide variance explanations for key balance sheet and P&L accounts Program & Customer-Specific Accounting Manage accounting and analysis related to Ford Scrap Sharing programs, including tracking, reconciliation, and reporting Support accounting multiple automotive divisions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and customer requirements Analyze program performance and identify financial impacts related to scrap, cost sharing, and operational changes Analysis & Reporting Provide detailed analysis of assigned accounts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities Support internal and external reporting requirements, including audit requests Partner with accounting and operations teams to improve processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and drive efficiencies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably within Automotive Tier 1 or manufacturing Strong understanding of balance sheet management and intercompany accounting Experience with OEM-related programs (e.g., Ford) and cost-sharing arrangements preferred Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Effective communication across cross-functional teams Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset Why This Role Matters This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of financial data across multiple plants and programs.
