DESCRIPTION
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes daily posting of journal entries Completes general accounting activities, including month end closing, journal entries and reporting. Ensures timely month end closings and timely reporting into all reporting systems (Hyperion, SAP, CI, ITS, VA/VE, BBP, Quality etc.) Reconciles A/R and A/P with corporate and shared services personnel Coordinates intercompany transactions/charges with other plants in the network Maintains all fixed asset files, tracks CAR spending, tags all assets, completes required corporate reports. Maintains the accuracy of balance sheet accounts as assigned by the Plant Controller ensures that account reconciliations are completed monthly/quarterly as scheduled. Ensures proper account distribution for item expenses, inventories, fixed assets, etc. Maintains the permanent records of the accounting department. Supports compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and BOS (Business Operating System) Assists with preparation and review of annual plan and quarterly forecasts Provides accurate and timely data for the Best Business Practices operational reporting system Participates as a team member on continuous improvement projects Seeks to develop new/automated processes and models to improve the efficiency/effectiveness of existing financial processes; trains other team members and plant functions on these items Assists as directed by the Plant Controller on year-end and/or internal audits requests/requirements Assists in developing financial policies and procedures and ensures compliance by the plant. Performs other duties, including ad hoc analysis and special projects, at the direction of the Plant Controller
