Job Description

$50-$71 per hour St. Louis, MO Contract
  • Duration:
    12 Month contract with possible extension
  • Job Description:
  • + The IT Software Asset Manager, working in a team environment, is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the necessary process(s) to manage pertinent information on technology-based software and hardware assets and their status.
+ The immediate focus of this position will be on software asset management (SAM) to understand and control software licensing costs and avoid legal pitfalls related to licensing by leveraging industry's best practices.
  • Responsibilities:
  • + Development of and implementation of the SAM strategy across the enterprise.
+ Construct and optimize business processes/policies to ensure pertinent hardware and software assets are recorded, tracked and reported. + Lead the implementation of asset tracking methods or solutions across the enterprise. + Monitor terms and conditions of software license usage and remediate anomalies when identified. + Actively maintain a working knowledge of core business processes to allow for the effective application of practical solutions and efficiency opportunities. + Lead integration of SAM processes within the existing ITSM framework and leverage the ServiceNow investment. + Develop and implement performance metrics and tracking mechanisms to capture process efficiency and effectiveness. + Report on the progress and impact of efforts to digital leadership.
  • Experience:
  • + Strong Software Asset Management (SAM) background + Experience with major vendors: + Microsoft (high priority - large renewal upcoming) + Oracle + IBM
  • Experience handling:
  • + Software renewals + License compliance and audits + Experience with ServiceNow (preferably SAM Pro module) + Proven IT industry experience (multiple years, senior-level exposure)
  • Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • + ServiceNow or SAM-related certifications (e.g., ServiceNow University, IBM CSAM) + Experience with engineering/design software vendors (Bentley, Schneider Electric, etc.) + Strong presentation and communication skills across all levels
  • Top 3
