Job Description

Position Description The Accounting Credit Analyst is responsible for managing the customer credit process from start to finish. Maintain ongoing customer relationships to ensure timely debt payments for several different companies. Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to maintain accurate and complete accounting records. Major Areas of Responsibility Obtain electronic credit application and run a credit check by sending form to references Independently examine credit history and determine correct credit limit for new customers Set-up all new customers in appropriate systems Complete all credit inquiries from other companies Monitor customer accounts, resolve reconciliation issues, contact customers for past due resolution Weekly reporting to management on collection activity and accounts receivable status Responsible for credit card payment system, reconciling all payments and report discrepancies Enter all cash receipts Assist with Accounts Payable and year-end 1099 processing Perform invoice scanning, mail delivery, and any other overflow tasks deemed necessary by management Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required 2+ years of administrative work experience is required Previous Transactional accounting work experience a plus Strong computer skills including intermediate/advanced experience in Microsoft Excel Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work, complete tasks, and follow-up on outstanding items Demonstrated ability to think critically and prioritize tasks appropriately Work Requirements Dependable and consistent attendance/punctuality Preference to work independently, yet willingness to be a good team member Ability to lift/carry up to 30lbs Ability to meet all functional requirements including, but not limited to: sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, bending, squatting, finger dexterity, and reaching above/below shoulders Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
