We are seeking a detail-oriented Mid-Level Financial Bookkeeper to oversee and manage a range of accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing detailed financial reports, processing daily transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role includes responsibility for the daily posting of incoming payments against client claims in our proprietary software, meeting deadlines for posting, as well as weekly and monthly closing processes. Familiarity with accounting software and financial analysis will be essential for success in this role. Proficiency in SQL is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive accounting and clerical support to the finance department. Accurately prepare and maintain financial documents, records, and reports. Prepare bank deposits, manage general ledger postings, and generate financial statements. Reconcile accounts promptly to ensure financial accuracy. Post incoming payments against client claims in proprietary software daily, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Meet deadlines for daily posting, as well as weekly and monthly closing processes. Input key financial transactions into the database on a daily basis. Assist company personnel with financial inquiries and support needs. Investigate, track, and resolve any accounting discrepancies or documentation issues. Compile and present reports and summaries to management regarding financial activities. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement. Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes. Adhere to established financial standards, procedures, and applicable regulations. Continuously update and enhance your knowledge of accounting practices and financial regulations.

Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. SQL knowledge is a significant plus.
