Job Description

Commission Analyst Phoenix Pro Connect is currently seeking a Commission Analyst to join a global company headquartered in New Jersey. As a Commission Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant commission processes across various business units. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Completing commission accruals in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP standards, collaborating closely with the Accounting Policy team. Assisting in the expense close process and contributing to final commission flash reports, providing insights on variances against prior periods and forecasts. Conducting monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Oracle. Supporting the administration of the Xactly Incent systems and facilitating the monthly commission payment process. Assisting with the annual rollover, development, testing, and implementation of new commission plans. Understanding compensation plans for multiple sales channels to ensure accurate calculations and payments in compliance with contracts. Liaising with key stakeholders to discuss changes in commission plans and identifying automation opportunities. Collaborating with various teams, including Legal, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Treasury, Pricing, and IT/engineering, on expense impacting activities. Supporting integration efforts and creating process and controls from an accounting perspective for new products acquired by the company. Reviewing customer contracts, providing business support to sales teams, and ensuring commissions are paid appropriately. Gathering and preparing information for internal and external audit, tax, and regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Excel & Google Suite for setting out commission scenarios and models. Experience with Salesforce, Tableau, and Zuora Billing. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Strong planning and problem-solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Investigative mindset with the ability to challenge management where appropriate. Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, highly collaborative setting. Capacity to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines. Bachelor's or Master's degree with 3-5 years of accounting & compensation experience, preferably in large or medium-sized firms. Experience accounting for activities in international markets; knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP preferred.
