Job Description:
We are seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst on behalf of our client, a well known regional bank in the Tri-State area. In this role, you will support the underwriting and ongoing monitoring of commercial and business banking relationships, working closely with relationship managers and senior credit officers. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to deepen their credit and financial analysis skills within a community banking environment that values mentorship and professional development. Key Responsibilities Spread and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and business/personal financial data for commercial loan requests Prepare detailed credit memoranda and underwriting packages for presentation to credit approvals Assess borrower creditworthiness, including cash flow analysis, collateral evaluation, and industry risk Support ongoing portfolio monitoring, including covenant tracking and annual reviews Research industry trends and economic conditions relevant to credit risk Collaborate with relationship managers to gather documentation and support the loan origination process Ensure compliance with bank credit policies, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines
Qualifications Required:
1+ years of experience in banking, financial services, or a related field Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline Foundational understanding of financial statement analysis and credit concepts Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time management abilities
