Job description The role is for a Financial Credit Analyst in the fixed income department of HSBC Asset Management in New York. The individual will be responsible for performing fundamental and relative value analysis on investment grade corporate bond issuers in the financial industry. You will be responsible for:
Provide detailed and timely fundamental and relative value analysis on investment grade credits with a particular focus on US financials. Work directly with key stakeholders to understand their needs and to ensure timely communication and updates impacting both sectors and issuers under coverage. Take a leading role in the banking team both locally and globally to help identify and coordinate views across regions and currencies. Be able to combine top-down and bottom-up views in order to derive well informed research on industries and issuers under coverage. Support the firm's Liquidity business by providing detailed annual reviews to the oversight committee. Gain a deep understanding of the internal procedures and external regulations concerning the Liquidity business in order to be the center of excellence / Liquidity champion within the Credit Research team. Support and practice the integration of ESG analysis into the investment process. Become a key member within the global banking team to help define and build the research process for advanced ESG strategies. Collaborate with the offshore research support to ensure the service provided meets the needs of the credit research function. For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $149,600and $224,400. The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location. Undergraduate degree required Minimum 10 years of experience as a Credit Analyst following US financials Strong understanding of financial statements and fundamental ratios specific to financial companies. Solid understanding of rating agency methodologies for the US financial sector.
