Full Job Description Description:
Armbruster Capital Management is a fee-only, SEC-registered investment advisor that provides wealth management solutions based on academic and quantitative research. As a Junior Investment Analyst / Portfolio Monitor / Trader, you will fulfill a core role that is key to our operations. The position offers exposure to all aspects of the investment management business, including portfolio monitoring, trading, investment research, regulatory compliance, operations, and administrative and sales support. Expectations include a strong work ethic, desire to learn, and attention to detail. It is expected that you will spend time self-studying to further learn our industry and investment philosophy.
Responsibilities:
The JA/PM/Trader will become well versed in our software systems, trade execution strategies, as well as our logic and thought process. We offer immersive on-the-job training to help you assimilate our processes and our collaborative culture.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Daily trade processing and reconciliation.
  • Review and rebalancing client portfolios.
  • Provide portfolio analytics and performance reporting.
  • Develop an understanding of trade execution strategies, transaction costs, and products in the markets.
  • Report on daily trading activity and events.
  • Create investment presentations and materials for client meetings.
  • Communication with custodians to resolve trade-related issues.
  • Form strong working relationships with custodians, fund sponsors, and software vendors.
  • Work closely with and provide a high level of customer service to our internal teams.
  • Involvement with equity and quantitative research projects and due diligence for new investments.
  • Analyze prospective client investment portfolios and prepare presentations of analysis.

  • Ability to think critically and assess situations analytically.
  • Must be detail-oriented and produce accurate work in time-sensitive situations.
  • Strong ethics and working in the best interest of our clients is mandatory.
  • Must be highly motivated, intellectually curious, and a continuous learner.
  • Must be team-oriented and able to work within our firm's culture.
