About the Opportunity This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. This is a full-time, on-site position beginning in Akron, Ohio but may move to Brecksville, Ohio in the future. Summary Highly motivated Analyst to serve as a strategic partner to the Vice President of Transmission Finance. This role operates at the center of the organization, driving executive-level communications, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring leadership priorities are executed with precision. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, board materials, and leadership communications that clearly convey complex financial and operational insights Lead and coordinate high-priority projects and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the VP, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, tracking progress and proactively identifying risks and opportunities Support executive decision-making through data analysis, insights, and synthesis of key business drivers Manage meeting cadence, agendas, and follow-ups for leadership forums; ensure outcomes are documented and advanced Serve as a liaison across finance, operations, and senior leadership to drive alignment and communication
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; Advanced degree preferred Minimum 10 years professional work experience required, energy industry experience a plus Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word Proficient with PowerBI Demonstrate a questioning attitude to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships Desire to continue to learn, grow and work across FirstEnergy and deliver results Excellent analytical abilities General knowledge of financial statement analysis and GAAP Deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent time management skills Proficiency with SAP preferred Understanding of FERC and formula rates preferred Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
