Full Time Senior Financial Analyst:
Saint Joseph Academy Saint Joseph Academy Saint Joseph Academy is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This is a full time, 12-month role. The role is responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting and analysis while also owning key month-end account close activities. This position will ensure the accuracy of our financial data, prepare journal entries and reconcile complex accounts. Essential Skills

  • Commitment to the Catholic education of young women in the tradition of the Congregation of St. Joseph. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Time split between Accounting & Close Operations and Financial Analysis/FP&A
  • Journal Entries & Accruals
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, prepayment and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting in alignment with month end close.
Account Reconciliation:
Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure integrity of financial data, including bank accounts, inter-fund transactions and fixed assets
  • General Ledger Accuracy
  • Review general ledger transactions for accuracy
  • Audit Support
  • Assist in preparing annual audit workpapers
  • Variance Analysis
  • Conduct analysis of actual vs. budget/prior year results
  • Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Assist to develop, maintain and enhance financial models and annual budgets
  • Reporting
  • Assist in preparing clear financial reports, management reports and KPI trackers
  • Process Improvement
  • Streamline accounting and reporting processes through automation and system enhancement Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • 3-5+ years of combined experience in financial analyst and accounting/auditing
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Word, Excel, etc.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Blackbaud/Financial Edge preferred)
