Sr. Financial Analyst

Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support financial planning and operational performance for our Solon, Ohio location. This role partners closely with plant leadership to deliver meaningful insights, strengthen forecasting accuracy, and help guide cost and productivity decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical ability with business acumen and can clearly communicate financial results, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with site leadership to build financial plans, evaluate business performance, and explain differences between actual results and budget or forecast expectations.
• Develop monthly and quarterly outlooks for the facility, incorporating key assumptions, potential risks, and areas of opportunity.
• Assist with month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, reviewing financial results, and investigating performance fluctuations.
• Analyze plant financial data to identify trends, support decision-making, and provide clear recommendations to improve results.
• Communicate the location's financial performance in a concise and actionable manner to finance and operational stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to advance cost control initiatives and improve operational productivity.
• Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and apply continuous improvement methods, including Lean principles, to enhance process effectiveness.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and financial modeling to support business priorities, operational changes, and management requests. Requirements
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis within a manufacturing, plant, or operational environment.
• Strong capability in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and ad hoc analytical support.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and plant performance measurement.
• Ability to interpret large data sets and use data mining techniques to uncover actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience supporting month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial review activities.
