Job Function:
This position is responsible for providing high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to support organizational decision-making. This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, develop budgets, and identify opportunities of improved processes and efficiencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the annual budgeting timeline and coordinate the preparation of budgets for all Diocesan entities. Prepare regular financial reports and analyses (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in coordination with the Controller. Manage the administration of the ACBA (Allentown Catholic Beneficial Association) savings and loan entity which involves investment analysis and reporting, loan processing, and cash management. Act as the main liaison for annual financial audits, manage the schedule, coordinate financial information and follow-up. Prepare and deliver clear, concise, and visually engaging presentations to communicate financial insights and key performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders. Spearhead implementation of financial systems, process improvement initiatives, and other special projects as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Educational/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; MBA or CPA licensure is preferred. Minimum of 5-8 years' experience in Accounting or Finance.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to set an ethical tone for diocesan conduct and must be absolutely distinguished for honesty and integrity. Ability to plan and implement process changes resulting in increased productivity and/or quality. Must possess a thorough understanding of computerized accounting systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus. Ability to maintain, and sensitively work with, confidential information. Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility and creativity to achieve objectives, solve problems, meet demands as required, and work with a variety of internal and external organizations and their memberships. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone. Use of hands to operate standard office equipment; with occasional reaching and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Normal work environment.
Work Hours:
