Job Description

Financial Analyst will take a lead role in analytical support of the Organization's Accounts Receivable and Revenue Cycle as well as program budgeting and Organization revenue and expense projections. As such, the incumbent will analytically support the roles of the Organization's Accounts Receivable Supervisor & Assistant Supervisors as well as the Project Manager. The Financial Analyst position is directly accountable to the Controller. In addition to providing overall analytical support, analysis, and reporting within the Finance Department, the incumbent will: Act as a resource to regional program staff and administrative staff via providing financial and informational reports. Provide administrative monitoring of actual and projected expenses against program budgets, offering suggestions for program improvement. Serve as a finance resource by providing an advanced level of analytical and technical assistance to administrative and program staff as needed. Provides analytical support to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactional processing within the Organization's Accounts Receivable and Revenue Cycle. Supports the maintenance and reconciliation of open Accounts Receivable balances/billing and payment systems in conjunction with the Organization's AR Department staff. Monitors and maintains accounts receivable aging schedules. Supports the monitoring of collection efforts in order to ensure prompt collections of Accounts Receivable. In conjunction with, and support of, the Organization's AR Supervisor, ensures that year end accounts receivable and revenue reconciliations and analyses for internal, audit, and external reporting purposes are provided. Performs analytical analysis and reconciliation of Organization Asset, Liability, Revenue, and Expense Accounts as assigned by the CFO, Controller, Project Manager or Finance Department Supervisors. Analyzes and investigates trends and monthly changes in Organization revenue and expense accounts and offers suggestions for program stability and efficiency. Assists in the calculation and development of Organization key performance indicators (KPI) and financial metrics. Assists in the preparation of Agency annual audit and contracted entity account analyses and reconciliations. Assists with budget development and financial reporting tools, along with crosswalks for funding entity Cost Reports, Income and Expenditure Reports, Supporting Salary Schedules, Informational Reports, and Budget Reports, inclusive of supporting spreadsheets, handbooks and instructions. Assists management, program staff, and finance staff in the budget development process by analyzing and disseminating financial information necessary for sound program budget development insuring accuracy, consistency, and the provision for overhead charges and retained revenue as appropriate. Works with the Controller, Project Manager, and the Accountants to prepare monthly revenue and expense monitors, applying uniform projection methodologies. Ensures revenue and expense projections and program models are realistic. Attends monthly regional monitoring meetings and follows up on open issues and concerns. Education and/or
Experience:
