Financial Analyst T E C Industrial is seeking a Financial Analyst to partner with our Controller and support day-to-day accounting operations. In this role, you'll help produce timely financial reporting, strengthen internal controls, and provide analysis that improves accuracy, mitigates risk, and supports sound decision-making. The Financial Analyst supports the Controller and accounting operations at T E C Industrial. This position helps produce financial reports, maintains accurate accounting records, and supports controls and budgeting processes designed to mitigate risk, improve reporting accuracy, and ensure results comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Principal Responsibilities- Administer and support multiple accounting functions to ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting. Key Functions
- Analyze business trends, including financial performance, staffing, and project profitability.
- Coordinate certificates of insurance (COI) and bonding processes and support fulfillment to the client base.
- Oversee accounting and billing processes.
- Assist with and ensure monthly bank and credit card reconciliations are completed.
- Support accounts receivable to ensure proper collection and timely postings.
- Help maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Support and review a system of controls over accounting transactions. Additional Responsibilities
- Monthly work-in-progress (WIP) analysis and review against forecasts.
- Depreciation and fixed asset reconciliation.
- Support audits, including 401(k), internal, and external audits.
- Support contractor licensing requirements.
- Assist with billing, as needed.
- Assist with payroll, as needed. Reporting & Forecasting
- Support the Controller in the timely issuance of complete financial statements.
- Own sister-company, P&L reporting and forecasting.
- Support the Corporate OneStream system and complete monthly input.
- Calculate variances from budget and report significant issues to management.
- Special projects, as needed. Compliance
- Coordinate the provision of information to internal and external auditors for the annual audit.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Comply with and enforce all Company policies and procedures.
- Support timely provision of information for quarterly and annual reporting requirements (including Securities and Exchange Commission filings), as directed. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Experience in industrial construction and/or service industry environments (preferred).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, and analysis).
- Knowledge of accounting software; Timberline (Sage) preferred.
- Ability to travel less than 10% of the time (including overnight) for meetings and training courses, and to work periodic evenings and/or weekends as needed. Requirements
- Report to the corporate office on time as scheduled; this is an on-site role (Remote work is not an option).
