Full Job Description Financial Analyst Mas Alpha Securities Coral Gables, FL Pay:
$80,000 / year Job type:
Full-time Schedule:
Hybrid — in-office in Coral Gables, ~1 day per week remote. Occasional travel to operating entity locations (infrequent). About the Role Mas Alpha is an investment management company, managing a flexible fund and a growing portfolio of operating businesses. We are building institutional-quality financial infrastructure from the ground up, and you would report directly to the CFO. This is a high-ownership seat on a small team. What You'll Do Assist to build and own recurring financial reporting across the management company and portfolio companies — weekly cash and burn, monthly P&L, and budget-vs-actual. Pull, reconcile, and turn raw data from our accounting, spend, payroll, and banking platforms into clean, decision-ready analysis. Track actuals against budget across multiple entities and flag variances before they become problems. Build reporting that is repeatable and partly automated — not rebuilt by hand every week.
Do the judgment work:
explain the "why" behind the numbers, not just produce them. Run ad hoc analysis and models for deals and operations. What We're Looking For 2-4 years in FP&A, audit, corporate finance, or portfolio accounting. Excel power user — complex models, large datasets, no fear of messy data; experience automating reporting is a strong plus. Solid accounting fundamentals — can read a trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet. Obsessive about accuracy. You understand this is investor money and everything has to be defensible. Self-starter who thrives in a small, build-it-from-scratch environment. Nice to Have Multi-entity reporting experience. Hospitality, real assets, or operating-company exposure. CPA or CFA (or on track)
