Job:
As a Financial Analyst in the San Francisco office, you will support a high-energy, high growth company. Reporting to the Senior Manager FP&A, you will help continue the team on its path towards becoming a world-class organization through data automation and insightful analysis. You will support projects related to forecasting and analysis of cloud-based infrastructure (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure), including automating data access in the primary reporting tools, OneStream and Tableau. This role will work closely with Engineering and Cloud FinOps team leaders across the company, and alongside the FP&A team to aid in effective data-driven analysis and decision making. Along with performing additional ad-hoc projects for various company initiatives, the Financial Analyst will drive constant process improvement.
Job Responsibilities:
Drive financial forecast model updates and trend analyses for our cloud infrastructure and hosting-related expenses Through data, work with Engineering and Cloud FinOps teams to analyze cloud spend and identify areas of opportunity to improve results, to develop monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, and to understand their to-date results to help tell the right story Report, track, and support key operating and financial metrics, and to help investigate and resolve anomalies in volume and spend in a timely manner Perform analysis on key company growth and optimization initiatives to drive decision making Provide a source of insightful ad-hoc business analytical support Develop activity-based models to forecast cloud cost and the implication on product and customer profitability Help define the metrics that Client will run on
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Self-starter with a natural sense of curiosity College degree (preferably in Finance or Economics) 1-2 years of related work experience General knowledge of Cloud Environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) and how they charge for their services Familiarity with Cloud FinOps cost optimization strategies Superior quantitative and analytical abilities Demonstrated excellence translating datasets into actionable results Demonstrated communication skills with finance and non-finance leaders
Preferable Job Qualifications:
Interest in R D finance and project-based forecasting and planning Experience in a SaaS-based company Direct experience with automated reporting solutions (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, etc.) Background in FP&A, Consulting, and/or investment banking a plus TekWissen® Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
