Our team consists of seasoned industry professionals with deep expertise in manufacturing, leasing, railcar portfolio management, and financing.
Job Summary:
We are seeking to add a Financial Analyst to our team. In this role, you report directly to the Controller and dotted line to Portfolio Manager. You would have day to day responsibilities for accounting and portfolio management related tasks as well as managerial reporting and analysis. Specific responsibilities are outlined below, including working with the Instar team to comply with shareholder requirements and assist with the other responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Treasury and Portfolio Functions Support the Portfolio Manager with monthly reporting of the railcar portfolio, collaborate with sales team on pricing new leasing opportunities, and assist in preparing presentation materials for investment committee meetings Assist in providing monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reporting to lenders. Investor presentations, projections, budget to actual analysis. Perform other related tasks as assigned. Accounting & Finance Functions Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual managerial reports tracking key metrics related to the business operations. Perform customer credit analysis as needed Evaluation of assets as to return on investment targets. Participate in strategic business plan involving analysis of past results and preparing projections. Work closely with Controller on the month & quarter-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance. Minimum of 5 years' experience of business experience with emphasis on finance and accounting experience Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions. Must be a team player, self-motivated, meet deadlines, and work well with others. Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Mircosoft Office, NetSuite, financial modeling software, and lease management systems.
