Hybrid, Downtown Denver or Boulder (first 90 days fully onsite, then 2 days per week) Salary range: 100-105K General Purpose:
This position supports the organization's financial systems, reporting processes, and analytics environment. The Financial Systems Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing financial applications while supporting data analysis and business intelligence initiatives. Acting as a technical partner to the Finance team, this role helps improve workflows, optimize system performance, and ensure reliable financial data. Prior hands-on experience with legal finance platforms such as Aderant, Intapp Time, Emburse, and BigHand is required.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
System Support & Maintenance Provide day-to-day technical support and issue resolution for financial systems, including accounting, billing/collections, expense management, timekeeping, budgeting, and BI tools. Assist with system upgrades, implementations, and configuration changes. Maintain and enhance custom Microsoft Access databases using VBA and established best practices. Data Analytics & Reporting Build and maintain financial reports and dashboards using tools such as SQL, SSRS, Power BI, and Excel. Write and execute SQL queries to validate, manage, and analyze financial data. Perform data analysis to support financial operations, reporting, and performance metrics. Deliver ad hoc reporting and insights for leadership and internal stakeholders. Process Improvement Evaluate current finance workflows and identify opportunities for automation and increased efficiency. Support initiatives to improve processes, reporting, and system functionality through technology. Participate in projects focused on enhancing financial systems and data quality. Collaboration & Support Work closely with IT to resolve system issues and improve performance. Assist Finance with project coordination, testing, and implementation activities. Contribute to data governance efforts and maintain knowledge of system integrations and dependencies. Create and maintain documentation for system processes, procedures, and technical specifications. Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field 4+ years of experience working with financial systems Solid understanding of financial principles and performance metrics Experience in a law firm environment preferred Hands-on experience with Aderant, Intapp Time, Emburse, and BigHand applications Familiarity with database structures and data modeling concepts Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and database management Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or similar platforms Strong skills in Microsoft Access, VBA, and Office 365 tools Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively High level of attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
